PROJECT OVERVIEW
HcDat undertook a critical project to enhance the handling of Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) and Continuity of Care Document (CCD) for a healthcare organization. The project aimed to ensure standardized format and content for seamless information exchange among healthcare providers.
The customer faced challenges in managing hundreds of millions of electronic documents efficiently. They needed robust solutions for inline validation, characterization, parsing, data storage, and tracking to support multiple applications, web portals, and analytical functions. Ensuring data integrity, versioning, purpose, and compliance with emerging standards were crucial aspects.
A healthcare organization required compliant handling of CDA/CCD documents to meet Meaningful Use requirements and improve interoperability across systems.
HcDat Developed and integrated algorithm with realtime intelligent tie-back the HL7 Standard Definitions DB. These solutions ensured efficient operations by linking all data back to original documents and specific patient encounters. The implementation also included auditing functionalities to maintain information integrity and support versioning requirements.
The project resulted in significant improvements in data management efficiency and compliance with Meaningful Use standards. Healthcare providers benefited from streamlined access to standardized clinical documents, enhancing patient care coordination and operational efficiency. HcDat's solutions not only met immediate operational needs but also positioned the organization for future scalability and compliance with evolving healthcare standards.
